What is UX?

User Experience (UX) design refers to an approach that places the needs of users first and foremost in the design and development of digital products. This human-centred mode of design draws upon behavioural psychology and is characterised by placing a high value on user research throughout the design process. Despite often following the below stages in order, it is in fact a non-linear approach, where each stage may inform the other, creating ‘iterative loops’ and giving the approach a cyclical nature.
