360 Launch New Website for VJ Technology

27/10/2022

360 are proud to have worked closely with VJ Technology to re-design and develop their new website. VJ Technology is a UK leading distributor of fixings, fasteners and building consumables to the construction and infrastructure sector. For this project, we focused on improving the user experience and refreshing the visual design of the website, while making sure to retain the visual identity of the brand.

Our bespoke process

The new VJ Technology website went through a fully bespoke design process. As always, we started with research, including competitor research, and conducting a UX audit to pinpoint any areas of the website that may be negatively affecting user experience. Continuing from research, we created wireframes and then high-fidelity designs. Using this process, we were able to deliver a finished product that is competitive, successfully represents the brand, and improves the user experience.

Website design

With hundreds of products, all with varies specifications, it was crucial to develop the website into a versatile platform that could efficiently showcase all the different products available. It was also important to use the brand colours effectively, not only to strength brand identity but to add prominence to important features. For example, VJ Technology’s orange is used for call-to-actions as it is bright and eye catching and helps to guide the user through the website.

Ensuring that the website was optimal for mobile users was also a crucial aspect of the project. VJ Technology’s primary users are busy traders, who are constantly on the move, so the entire website was designed with mobile in mind first. This is also best practice for UX and SEO purposes.
